Introduction

So, this will be my place to attempt to rank all 120 FBS college football teams (and all 11 FBS conferences, plus the Independents). The entire ranking will be completely calculation-based, so the early weeks will look little to nothing like the human polls (AP, USA Today). However, my hope is that, by the end of the year, my rankings make sense. If they don't, I'll reevaluate the way I calculate them and try it all again next year.

The rankings will come out some time after the final game each weekend (meaning that this week's rankings won't come out until sometime after tonight's Miami-Maryland game).
