- These rankings are completely for fun, nothing else.
- These rankings are my attempt at computer rankings. They do not reflect my opinion on who is the best or worst in college football, they only reflect my completely made-up algorithm.
- Since these are computer rankings, they will look weird and/or terrible early in the season. This makes sense. There's a reason the BCS rankings don't come out until later in the season--they have computer rankings in them, and those are always a bit off early in the season.
- Seriously, check out my rankings from last year. Rutgers, Kansas, and Iowa State were in the Top 5 after the first week. I promise, they get better as the season goes on.
- These do not take into account any preseason bias. They do take into account win percentage, margin of victory, and strength of schedule.
- The strength of schedule portion takes into account the entire schedule, even early in the season. I'll admit, I'm way too lazy to make this work better than that. Unless I can come up with an easy way to do it, it's staying that way.
- I reserve the right to tweak and/or completely change the algorithm without warning during the season. You can't complain. If you do complain, well, that's just silly. Why complain over some meaningless, just-for-fun computer rankings?
